Greg Behrendt is a comedian, host and writer. The 57 year-old, born on July 21st 1963 in San Francisco, is a well known author in America as well as a life and relationship coach.
Greg Behrendt is most known for his work being a script consultant to the Home box office sitcom Sex and the city which opened the way for him to co-author the New York Times bestseller, Hes just not that into you (2004). His most popular books are, Its called a breakup because it’s broken and He’s just not that into you, which was published in 2004 and then made into a film in 2009.

Greg Behrendt Personal History
Greg Behrendt grew up in America. In 1991, he graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theater. However, initially Greg had applied to be a major in business and to also play rugby.
Throughout the past five years Greg has beat cancer twice, a form of lymphoma. As of 2015, his cancer was in remission. He is also a recovering alcoholic and recovering opiate addict. Both these experiences have made him have a more philosophical outlook on life. These experiences are also part of the reason why Greg wrote his books and turned his attention to positivity and relationship coaching so that he could use his experiences to help others. He has a real need to want to help others find happiness whether this be through his books, one on one coaching or in a live setting.
Greg is now married to Amiira Ruotola, they have two children, daughters, Bella True and Mighty Luna.
Greg Behrendt Professional Career
Greg Behrendt’s career started after he graduated from University when he joined an improvisational troupe. He performed improv and comedy in California and was a valued member of the improvisational group Crash and Burn, another member of this troupe included Margaret Cho.
In 2006, on Comedy Central, Gregs stand up special Greg Behrendt is uncool debuted. In the same year he made an appearance on celebrity poker showdown, playing to support a domestic violence charity.
Behrendt is also known for being a script consultant for the Home Box Office sitcom Sex and the City. This then paved the way for Greg to co-write the popular book He’s just not that into you (2004). This book was so successful, it was adapted and made into a film in 2009. Soon after, Greg and his wife co-wrote the book, It’s Called a Breakup Because It’s Broken. Greg has also participated in “self-help” daily talk shows.
Throughout Greg’s professional career he has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey show several times, he has also appeared on The View, Anderson Cooper and the Today Show as a relationship author.

Throughout his career, Greg Behrendt has been involved in several personal performances, events and coaching opportunities. His practices, techniques and viewpoints on life are unique, this has partially been shaped by his past experiences so he uses his coaching sessions, writings and podcasts to provide to his followers teachings of relationship and life. Greg’s coaching includes a one to one session covering various topics such as, career advice, setbacks, friendships, writing and health. A free ten minute consultation is offered to anyone wanting to discuss the cost of the coaching and what exactly this coaching would include.
Greg also often attends events, in July 2020, he was a guest speaker for a four hour mastermind event in San Francisco on post male syndrome with Natasha Adamo. This event included a question and answer section, emotional dialysis, deactivation and recalibration from triggers and connection with others at the event.
In addition, Greg talks regularly on podcasts, offering talks on relationship and life. He created the walking the room podcast with Dave Anthony, his friend.
